This policy explains how RetireSardinia processes the personal data of website visitors and of clients of our relocation service. We care about your privacy as much as about your new life in the sun.

Data controller

The data controller is RetireSardinia — [legal entity], represented by Enrico Commisso. For any request regarding your data, write to [email address] or to [postal address], Italy.

Data we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may process the following categories of data:

  • Identity and contact data: name, email, phone, country of residence.
  • Account data: your platform login credentials.
  • Standort-Check data: nationality, pension situation, current residence and lifestyle preferences.
  • Relocation case data: documents, tax and financial information required for the 7% regime and residency registration.
  • Payment data: handled by the payment provider; we do not store your card details.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device type and technical cookies.

Why we process your data

We use your data to verify your eligibility for the 7% regime, manage your relocation and coordinate the professionals involved, manage your account and service communications, comply with legal obligations and — only with your consent — send you informational communications.

Legal basis

We process your data to perform the contract and pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)), on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving and protecting the service (Art. 6(1)(f)) and, where required, on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.

Who we share data with

We share your data only with the professionals coordinated for your case (accountants, lawyers, notaries), with the competent Italian public authorities and with IT service providers (hosting, email, payments) appointed as data processors. We never sell or rent your data to third parties for marketing.

Transfers outside the European Union

Your data is processed primarily within the European Union. Where a provider involves a transfer outside the EU, it will only take place with appropriate safeguards (e.g. the European Commission's standard contractual clauses). [Details to be confirmed based on the selected providers.]

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for the duration of the relationship and for the period required by applicable legal obligations (in particular tax obligations, [10 years]). After that, the data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

As a data subject you have the right to:

  • access your data and obtain a copy;
  • request its rectification or erasure;
  • request restriction of, or object to, the processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time;
  • lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante).

Cookies

The site uses technical cookies necessary for it to work. Any analytics or third-party cookies are set only with your prior consent. [The detailed cookie policy will be linked here.]
